E-diot

What do you call an online idiot?

 E-diot

HAhaha.....no matter where you spen your online time, if it is IRC, MSN messanger, Yahoo messanger, forums, etc. there will always be e-diots around to spoil the fun.

Well, if they're admins well yeah you have to give in since you're only able to use their services (which is free) because of their grace.

But there are e-diots who spoil the fun for everyone else. People who don't care about anything other than themselves.

Recently, I make a joke about someone online. An e-diot just wrote a nasty reply. I was wondering why since this e-diot has no relation to the person whom I joked about anyway. It was a joke so lighten up, right?

I knew it was just an opptunity for that e-diot to say something nasty to me as previously he never did have any replies in the thread to contribute to the topic in discussion just to bash, complain, whine and irritate other forummers.

If he just wanted to point out his displeasure in the joke he would have just said so but he went further by attacking me personally. Probably getting his first PMS since his (oh I mean HER) sex change operation.

I just gave a witty reply with Lian's help nothing too personal just witty and sacarstic with hidden meanings probably people of that IQ won't get and just go beserk and accuse me of stuff again.

And what did you know? He had another one of his (I mean HER - sorry keep forgetting) PMS fits and personally attacked me again without much reasoning other than not respecting other people bullshit but this time say bad things about my dad?!?!?

How low can you go, right?

I'm not going to sink into kintergarden levels.

You know lah how e-diots operate..

First, they ruffle your feathers abit by objecting to a statement or joke you said.

Second, if later proved that your statement if correct or wrong it doesn't matter he will still critic on your use of English.

Third, then personal attacks in general.

Fourth, then personal attacks on family members.

Fifth, then threaten you with things like "come out meet now la, settle this, wanna fight?".

Which goes to show the lack of inteligence your adversary had when he has to resort to cheap tactics to get your attention. Hey, if he had the brains he would have debated the topic instead of going the easy route, am I right?

Well then the Admin's stepped in and I have to be the bigger man and drop this. If not you know if I get the thread closed down the other forummers will also gimme stick. At least I have the satisfaction of not being the last post before the admin stepped in and said "I'll be the bigger man and stop the bickering".

*sigh*

There are digital versions of everything in the real world, e-mail, e-bay, e-trading, e-govt.....and the latest would be e-diots or were they the first?

In your face....!!

What a good result!

O'shea a defender scored in the dying minutes to deny Arsenal any pleasure or chance of a draw, he himself could not believe his luck as he is a defender in and advance position and wasn't offside. Took him a few seconds to take it in and check with the linesman before celebrating.

Reminds me of the Giggs lob goal against Chelsea, well, the gods were with Chelsea that day I thought it was a brilliant tactic and should have worked to our advantage when things gone into overtime, but nevermind this hammering of Arsenal will do just fine.

Great tactic to bring Saha on as a fresh forward to hold up the ball and cause problems for the Arsenal defense when we clear the ball away from our goal mouth.

Great 4-3-3 tatic which works out as a 4-5-1 actually with strength in the middle to out muscle and bully Arsenal's bunch of thugs in their own ground. Kudos to SAF and CQ for the brilliant tactic.

Ronaldo the man on this occassion, getting a MoM for his efforts to revive our team on the second half. Reminds me of the great 5-3 comeback at White Hart Lane a few seasons back. After the goals from Ronaldo it seems like we punched the wind outta their stomached and they weren't really together. They were threatening individually but weren't playing with their usual fluid and flair. Thus it was easy for us to defend against them and since we're a goal up we could just put everyone behind the ball and soak it up for the last 15 odd minutes or so.

Who says we bought Ronaldo just because he has the same name as some bald Brazilian, this boy is way talented.

Great match and victory.

Windows XP SP2 and Windows Update

I don't know this only happends to pirated users or its a problem with Microsoft's software itself.

My friend upgraded from XP SP1 to SP2.

Myself I login to Windows Update and installed some critical updates.

The problem is after installing finish Windows always asks you to reboot, right? Okay you do thinking okay just another boring update/upgrade no big deal.

Problem was where I normally just enter Windows because I don't set a password for the system, suddenly I was prompted to enter my password. Seems funny I tried normal passwords and it didn't worked. Thought I try 'Safe mode' going in through 'Administrator' but it also didn't work.

Tip: Administrator password is blank by default.

So then I tried a sequences of back door tricks and hacks to try and gain entry. Later I guessed the SAM file in which the Windows user profiles and passwords are saved in is corrupted in some way, and also probably half the registry.

As even after pains takingly removed all passwords from all profiles, meaning if I was prompted for a password the correct response would just be to press 'enter' but isn't this Windows XP where if your password is blank/removed you just go straight into the desktop without needed to press 'enter'.

Pressing 'enter' when it prompts me for a password it will show an error "logon message : the parameter is incorrect" which is a general error message Windows use for a variety of problems so tracking down a solution wasn't easy.

I was left with two choices...

1. Restore the system back to a previous state
2. Recovery reinstallation

Thought about it...

1. Cannot as I would lose alot of data and files I downloaded recently, etc.

2. Chose this as it would basically reinstall Windows on-top of my previous installation but still with most of my settings and programs intact.

Anyone upgrading to SP2 or installing patches from Windows Update please becareful. I searched the net for a solution and there were none, only the two choices above, perhaps it only happends to a certain type of configuration.

Turns out my monthly download and update everything routine took the whole night. What a night.....I guess I can sleep now

Being lazy key to a long life

LONDON: It is the news that all sloths have been waiting for. Scientists in Germany have found that too much exercise is bad for you and that doing less could lengthen your life.

In a new book called The Joy of Laziness: How to slow down and live longer, Dr Peter Axt, a retired professor of health science at Fulda University near Frankfurt, and his daughter, Dr Michaela Axt-Gadermann, a general practitioner, say that everybody has a limited amount of “life energy” and that the speed with which it is consumed determines their life span.

They argue that high-energy activities such as pounding the treadmill at the gym, accelerate the ageing process and makes the body more susceptible to illness.

“A more relaxed way of life is important for your health,” said Dr Axt-Gadermann. “If you lead a stressful life and exercise excessively, your body produces hormones which lead to high blood pressure and can damage your heart and arteries.”

Dr Axt-Gadermann said one key difference between the lazy and those who exercise was that the more active body produces more “free radicals” – unstable oxygen molecules that are believed to speed the ageing process.

She added: “Laziness is also important for a healthy immune system because special immune-cells are stronger in times of relaxation than stress. During relaxation or “down time”, your metabolism is less active, which means the body produces fewer free radicals.

“If you do a lot of sport or are permanently stressed, then your body will produce more free radicals and that is one reason why your life could be shortened.”

Dr Axt-Gadermann, 37, and her 65-year-old father, who are both reformed long-distance runners, also say that laughing is healthier than running.

“When you laugh, your body produces the hormone serotonin which makes you feel happy and relaxed,” said Dr Axt-Gadermann.

The book also says that laziness is good for the brain. It says that exercise and stress can cause the body to produce the hormone cortisol, which can damage brain cells and lead to memory loss and premature senility.

To illustrate the theory that laziness equals longevity, The Joy of Laziness also suggests that early risers are more prone to stress.

“People who would rather laze in a hammock instead of running a marathon, have a better chance of living into old age.”

The medical establishment, however, is sceptical. Dr Vivienne Nathanson, the head of science and ethics at the British Medical Association, said that moderate exercise should not be set aside in favour of lazing around. – The Sunday Telegraph
